Terms of service

What DubRiver is
DubRiver is an online service that dubs videos into another language. It transcribes the speech, translates it with AI, generates a new voice track with AI, and puts the video back together. You can review and edit the result before you download it. By signing in you agree to these terms.
Your account
- You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or is used to abuse the service.
Your videos and rights
- Only upload or link videos that you own or that you have permission to dub and publish. You confirm this each time you start a video, and the confirmation is saved with it.
- Only clone a voice that is your own, or one whose speaker has given you permission. You confirm this when you upload a voice clip.
- You keep all rights to your videos and to the dubbed result. You give us permission to process your files only to provide the service to you.
- Don't use DubRiver for content that is illegal, that impersonates someone to deceive, that harasses people, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- If a rights holder reports a video, we may remove it and, for repeated or clear violations, close the account. To report a video, use the report form.
Payments
- Videos are paid for in minutes of video, bought as packs (one-off) or monthly plans. Prices are shown on the site before you pay.
- Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for all orders. Paddle provides customer service for payment questions and handles returns. Paddle's terms apply to the purchase.
- Pack minutes don't expire while the service runs. A monthly plan's minutes are for that billing month and don't carry over. You can cancel a plan at any time; it stays active until the end of the month you paid for.
- Starting a video uses its length in minutes. If a video is stopped before it started processing, or deleted before its translation was done (for example because the file couldn't be read), its minutes come back. Editing and re-voicing lines of a video you already paid for is included, up to a limit per video.
- Refunds: you can ask for a refund of unused minutes within 14 days of buying them. Write to us at the address below, or contact Paddle.
What happens to your files
- Your videos are visible only to you, unless you turn on a share link, and to the site's operators when needed to run or fix the service.
- Working files are deleted 3 days after a video finishes. The finished video, voice track and subtitles are deleted 30 days after it finishes. Download anything you want to keep.
- You can delete a video yourself at any time. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.
Limits and availability
Each video can be up to the maximum length shown on the upload page, and videos may wait in line when the service is busy. The service is provided as is: AI translation and voices can make mistakes, so check the result before you publish it. We don't guarantee the service will always be available. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll show it on the site before it takes effect.
